As per Jan Hunters info, my family were originally from Thorne, Moor Ends, I'm told they were bargees.
I was led to believe that their barge was called "Fairy" ?.
There was a Florence somewhere but I'm not sure where she fits into the family tree.
My father was also named Ken, he was a Trawler Skipper out of Hull, unfortunately he died on the 21st January 1978 aged 39 years.
My dad had two sisters, Hilary and Elaine,(Elaine died some years ago, I think she was approx 46 years old). He also had two younger brothers, Albert and Peter.
His father was Edward (Ted), I think he only had two brothers, Thomas (Tommy) and Kenneth, I'm not sure if he had any sisters.
I'm still living in the Hull area, Beverley, which is just outside of Hull, I'm working offshore in the North Sea on a Gas platform, there must be an attraction to the sea in the Hinchliffe blood !!!!
